Ago is built to remember things for you — not to learn things about you. There is no account, no analytics, and no server of ours that ever sees your data.
Introduction
Ago is a personal activity and habit tracker for iPhone. It records the things you do and tells you how long it's been since you last did them. This app is distributed only on the Apple App Store. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information — which is, in short, very little.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. Ago has:
- No account, login, or sign-up.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- No data sent to servers we operate — we don't run any.
The activities you create, the times you log, your colours, emoji, and reminder settings are content you own. We never receive a copy of it.
Where Your Data Lives
Everything you enter is stored locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Ago also syncs that data to your own private iCloud database so it stays consistent across your Apple devices.
- iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit, within your personal iCloud account.
- Your data is stored in your private database — it is not public, not shared with us, and not visible to other users.
- If you sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud for Ago, the app simply works with the local copy on your device.
- Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions We Request
- Notifications (optional): Requested only if you turn on a reminder for an activity. Reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device by iOS — no reminder content is sent to us or anyone else.
- iCloud (optional): Used only to sync your activities across your own devices, as described above.
You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
In-App Purchases
- Ago Pro is sold as a subscription or one-time purchase, processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information.
- Your purchase status is verified through Apple and kept on your device only, to unlock Pro features. Nothing is uploaded to a server of ours.
- The paywall does not collect personal data, analytics, or tracking.
- Purchases and subscriptions are governed by the Apple Standard EULA and managed in your App Store account settings.
What We Do Not Do
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, sharing, or transferring of any user data — there is none to transfer.
- No profiling, no fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking.
Children's Privacy
Ago is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because Ago collects no personal data at all, it poses no such risk by design.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app or through the App Store listing.
