Introduction
EXIF Studio is a privacy-first metadata tool for iOS. You can view, edit, or remove EXIF, TIFF, IPTC, and GPS metadata before sharing a photo. This app is distributed only on the Apple App Store.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. EXIF Studio has:
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking.
- No data sent to our servers (there are none).
On-Device Processing
All metadata reading, editing, and cleaning happens locally on your device. Photos and metadata remain on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
Permissions We Request
- Photos Library: Required to read photo metadata and save cleaned copies. Your originals stay untouched; edits are saved to new copies.
- Location (optional): Requested only if you choose to view, set, or edit GPS metadata. Location data is used locally and not stored by us.
You can change these permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
In-App Purchases
- Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment information.
- We store purchase status locally on your device only to unlock features. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- The paywall does not collect personal data, analytics, or tracking.
What We Do Not Do
- No uploading or syncing of your photos or metadata.
- No third-party analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs.
- No sale, sharing, or transfer of any user data.
Children’s Privacy
EXIF Studio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app or via the App Store listing.
