PetCard is built to help you care for your pet, not to collect your data. There's no account, no analytics, and no server of ours that ever sees your pet's information.
Introduction
PetCard is an iPhone app that keeps your pet's health records, reminders, weight, documents and memories together in one calm place. It is distributed only on the Apple App Store. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information, which is, in short, very little.
Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data. PetCard has:
- No account, login, or sign-up.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- No data sent to servers we operate, we don't run any.
Your pets, records, reminders, weights, allergies, photos, documents, memories, and the contact details you enter for the If Found card are content you own. We never receive a copy of any of it.
Where Your Data Lives
Everything you add to PetCard is stored locally on your device.
- If you use iCloud, PetCard syncs your data through your own private iCloud, handled by Apple inside your personal iCloud account. It stays in your account.
- That data is yours; it is not public, not shared with us, and not visible to anyone else.
- If you turn iCloud off, your data simply stays on your devices.
- Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- The only servers PetCard ever contacts are Apple's own, to sync your data through your private iCloud and to verify App Store purchases. It never contacts a server operated by us.
Camera & Photos
With your permission, PetCard can use your camera and photo library so you can add a pet's photo and capture or store documents such as vaccination cards or vet paperwork. These images are saved with your pet's data on your device and your private iCloud, and are never sent to us. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, PetCard schedules gentle local reminders on your device for upcoming vaccines, treatments and vet visits. These reminders are created and delivered locally on your device; nothing about them is sent to a server of ours.
In-App Purchases
- PetCard Plus is sold as a subscription, processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment information.
- Your purchase status is verified through Apple and kept on your device to unlock Plus features. Nothing is uploaded to a server of ours.
- The paywall does not collect personal data, analytics, or tracking.
- Purchases and subscriptions are governed by the Apple Standard EULA and managed in your App Store account.
What We Do Not Do
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, sharing, or transferring of any user data, there is none to transfer.
- No profiling, no fingerprinting, no cross-app tracking.
Not Veterinary Advice
PetCard helps you organize your pet's care and is an informational tool, not a veterinary or medical service. It does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult your veterinarian for decisions about your pet's health.
Children's Privacy
PetCard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because PetCard collects no personal data at all, it poses no such risk by design.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app or through the App Store listing.
